How Does 3D Hologram Fan Realize Its 3D Hologram Projection

Strictly speaking, this “fan” is just a fancy name, but it is actually a “rotating LED strip”, the technical name of which is the Holographic 3D Smart Display. When powered up, the blade starts to rotate, creating a cool, realistic 3D image as it rotates. At the same time, depending on the size and color of the pattern, the LED fan can hide its blade very well, because there is no border or fixed screen, so the dynamic picture is like floating in the air, very realistic.

The 3D smart dazzle screen not only takes advantage of the hardware of the rotating LED, but also the visual retention phenomenon of the human eye. For the hardware equipment of rotating LED, it is simply to calculate the change frequency of the LED lamp according to the speed of the “fan blade”. When different MAPP LED lights are lit at different times, different patterns will be presented. Persistence of vision phenomenon refers to, when the human eye observation scene, light signals to the brain nerve, after a short time, the effect of light at the end of the visual image is not disappear immediately, the eye still can continue to maintain its image 0.1 seconds to 0.4 seconds, the residual visual said “like”, visual of this phenomenon is called “persistence of vision”. Generally speaking, the fan blade is arranged with one or more strings of LED lights.

Here, it is assumed that there are 20 LED lights. From the axis to the edge of the fan blade, 1~20 lights are numbered at a time. To simplify the theory, we assume that visual retention occurs when the fan speeds up to 60 revolutions per minute (which is much higher in real life). Let’s assume that the LED is 0 degrees above the fan at 0 seconds, so for a 6:00 effect to appear on the fan, the minute hand needs to point straight up and the hour hand to point straight down. It needs to light up the minute hand at 0 seconds from 1 to 20, light up the hour hand at 0.5 seconds from 1 to 10, then light up the minute hand at 1 second from 1 to 20, light up the hour hand at 1.5 seconds from 1 to 10, and so on. In this way, the human eye will receive a complete image of 6:00 whole clock. For complex patterns, the MAPP Radiant LED fan will have more complex structure and programming equipment. By combining the rotation of the LED lamp bar with the visual retention phenomenon, people will see a dynamic 3D picture of the rotating LED fan.

At present, the main application of 3D smart display is advertising. Due to its editable and vivid and cool display effect, it is believed that in the near future, it will be applied in more fields.
